The file name of the picture isn't shown in the alt+tab menu, taskbar, or the titlebar, makes it more time consuming to switch to the picture you want if you have multiple instances open at once.

(can be worked around by opening up multiple instances, but it's still annoying)

The fancy animation when switching between photos slows it down (a common theme with Windows 10 really), and makes it harder to do comparisons of nearly identical pictures because you can't just switch back and forth between them and instantly spot the difference.

If you open a picture, switch back to explorer and open another picture it'll bring up the first instance of the photos app with the old photo, instead of bringing up the new instance with the new photo.

There's a delay when you press the rotate button, especially when it's the first time you do it.

It has a bar at the top that obstructs the photo, sometimes it goes away, and sometimes it comes back, I don't feel like I even have control over this:.

I can appreciate the dark theme and some of the extra features in W10P, but the responsiveness, efficiency and features in WPV are simply more important to me.

solid UI outside of the images (no UI covering the images).

possible to delete an image without confirmation.

UI button for 'Actual size' (native res/no scaling).

possible to view a single photo in fullscreen (paused).

right click possibilities (copy, properties, open with etc.).

back/forward on mouse works for prev/next pic.

better UI (you have everything you need in one place (the bottom) for easy and fast access in W10 Photos the UI is allover the place, sometimes hidden, and you have to move the mouse across the whole screen to alternate between two pictures).

faster (no 'slide' effect between every picture, no delay/splash screen when starting the app, no unnecessary enhancements).

ability to zoom quickly and precisely with the scroll wheel.
